Our Spiritual Lineage
The vestiges found around the world show us that the Goddess has been honored by humanity since Paleolithic times.
In our modern world, however, much of the wisdom of the cultures that honored the Goddess has been partially lost, although the spiritual guidance of the Goddess has always been available to guide her followers.
Our lineage begins with the teachings of Kathy Jones, who has served the Lady of Avalon for over thirty years. Avalon is the mystical Celtic island where souls find rest, renewal, and healing. It is a spiritual space within the physical landscape of Glastonbury, where the presence of Ancient Goddesses remains strong for those who have managed to pass through the gates that guard their mysteries.
Kathy's teachings have influenced many priests and priestesses who, in search of the Goddess, have made the physical and spiritual journey to Glastonbury-Avalon, finally returning to their various places of origin to awaken the Goddesses of the Earth where they were born.
Following this line, Sandra Román, priestess of Avalon, originally from Argentina, began her research to work with and ceremonially awaken the Goddesses of the American Continent and the divinities of the Iberian Peninsula, bringing us the Ceremonial Wheels of Chak-Anna and Hispania, respectively.
Having received my training as a Priest of the Goddess under Sandra's guidance and also having enjoyed meeting and sharing with Kathy Jones, my work has followed a similar direction.
After several years of research and spiritual work, I have managed to articulate a ceremonial wheel aligned with our geography and sustained by the representations of the Great Mother in our territory.
The name by which I invoke the Great Mother in the middle of the world is Paqarina. In the Andean world, Paqarina is the name given to the place where the primordial ancestors or creator deities come from, which are physical places such as lagoons and caves. These are spaces that represent the womb of Mother Earth.
At this altar, we honor the Lady of the Lake, also known as Vivienne or Vivianna, remembering that our lineage comes from the Sacred Isle known as Avalon.
